hey kalen,
thanx for your quick answer. i did not double-clicked the checkbox. anyway – today (after a reboot) the checkbox is checked – as i wanted?! strange behavior. so for all who having the same problem – a system reboot could be the solution
….

Hi Jan,
I’m guessing that you are having problems with the checkbox because you are double-clicking. A single-click is all you need to turn caching back on; the second click is just turning it back off again. If that is not the case then I would try reinstalling the Flash player.

Subsequently, I’m guessing that you can’t change the storage size slider because the “Store common Flash components to reduce download time” option is unchecked.

hi,
thanx for the tip! it works great!

BUT:
i know have trouble with reverting back to the default setting. if i try to reenable the “Store common Flash components to reduce download time.” option, a popup asks me, whether i agree that shared components will be deleted. if i say yes – nothing happens …. the option keeps unchecked. the same strange behavior is with the slider for the storage size – it keeps zero …

any sugestions?
